Jeff Wagner is a nationally
respected business strategist who brings to our clients more than 30 years of
experience in organization innovation. Jeffs expertise includes helping
executives define strategy, creating strong leadership teams, and developing
new leaders.
Jeff began his career with
the Dayton Hudson (now Target) Corporation in human resources. He subsequently
held numerous management positions in HR as well as operations. He joined
Berman Buckskin in 1979 as director of HR, and was promoted to VP of HR and
operations in 1981. Jeff was responsible for the recruitment and selection of
the executive staff as well as succession planning for store management.
In 1986, Jeff established
the Wagner Retail Group, a management consulting company specializing in human
resources, executive search, management development and strategic focus. He
sold the firm to join Grand Casinos, Inc. in 1991 as corporate VP of HR. He was
responsible for all aspects of human resources, including recruitment of the
executive staff at each of seven casino properties and the corporate office.
He left Grand Casinos, Inc. in 1996. He was president of
Gage Outdoor Expeditions for two years before becoming a founding partner of
Practical Leadership.
Jeff earned his BA from the University of Minnesota
in history. He teaches and consults around the country on leadership.
